Naro Moru Cycling Festival

The Festival

The inaugural Naro Moru Cycling Festival scheduled to take place  from  Friday 20th – 22nd September will feature four separate cycling events with Naro Moru River Lodge being the center of activity aimed at an audience drawn primarily from the surrounding towns of Nyahururu, Nyeri, Nanyuki, Meru, Karatina and other nearby towns, but also open to all other cyclists nationwide.

The festival caters to riders of all ages and skill levels, from thrilling races for seasoned adult cyclists to fun-filled events for kids and juniors. The festival ensures that everyone has a chance to participate and enjoy the excitement. It is not just a competition but a community gathering about inclusivity, providing an excellent opportunity for cyclists from across the country to connect, share their passion, and enjoy a weekend of outdoor fun with activities designed to engage the whole family, creating lasting memories for all who attend.

Race Details

Kids

7-16 yrs (only taking part on 22nd)
7-8 yrs, 9-10 yrs, 11-12 yrs, 13-14 yrs, 15 yrs

Juniors

8:00 am – Team Time Trial (4 per Team): 37 km

2:00 pm – Individual Road Race (RR): 100 km

Sunday 22th

8:00 am – MTB XCO Kids Event: 10 km circuit

11:00 am – MTB XCM Adults (2 per Team): 60 km

Friday 20th

12.00pm – Registration Community MTB XCO (3km circuit)

  • Event starts at 3.00pm
  • School youth and Junior Groups:
    U16 and 17/18yrs, teams 4-10 pax
  • 4.30pm: adults (over 18yrs)

ENTRY: FREE

Saturday 21st

8:00 am – Team Time Trial (4 per Team): 37 km

2:00 pm – Individual Road Race (RR): 100 km

ENTRY: KES 2,000/= per person/per race

Sunday 22nd

8:00 am – MTB XCO Kids Event: 10 km circuit

11:00 am – MTB XCM Adults (2 per Team): 60 km

 

ENTRY: Adults – KES 2,000/= per person/per race

               Kids – KES. 1,500/= per person
